OGUK & Wind-Turbine Medicals It is Oil & Gas UK policy that all persons working offshore shall be examined periodically and classified as medically fit to work in the offshore environment. These offshore medical examinations must be completed by a suitably experienced and registered OGUK Doctor.
EOMC can offer these medicals and can combine these with Drug & Alcohol Screening demanded by some employers and even with travel Vaccinations for those off to work further afield. Indeed, EOMC provides a full range of OGUK options.

Because of a reciprocal agreement, the UK OGUK is accepted in Norwegian Waters and you no longer need a separate Norwegian Medical. Indeed the Offshore Operators Association from three countries involved in the North Sea: the UK (UKOOA); Norway (OLF); and The Netherlands (NOGEPA) have signed a reciprocal agreement known as the Hardanger Agreement which states that a valid medical certificate in one country will be valid in the two other countries.

Wind-Turbine Medicals
Although somewhat different, Wind-turbine Medicals are similar and have essentially the same standards applied as an OGUK including the ERT medical (see above). The ERT element (i.e. Chester Step) is a mandatory part of the medical because of the physical nature and potential climbing involved in this type of activity.
